This is the PS1Try Project.

The specific rules of this project have varied over its life but its main thrust has always remained consistent: to play and document every game for the Sony PlayStation, in a random order, where each game gets one try. Every game means every game, from unreleased brawlers like Thrill Kill to educational games only sold to schools. “One try” has meant different things, but now generally means playing until I see a game over screen.

In addition to the writeups I’ve done for each game that you can find through the nav menu up top, videos of (almost) all the old playthroughs are on YouTube and it’s all streamed on Twitch as it happens. There used to be a consistent streaming schedule. There isn’t right now, but this website’s redesign is hopefully a sign of revived activity on this project. Currently, I’m not streaming at all. Each game attempt is recorded and edited into a video with varying degrees of effort and narrative added.
