What’d you think?: Very weird game. Reminiscent of the “runners” that are prominent on mobile gaming these days (though not infinite), or Pepsiman of its time (though not with corporate branding), in this Japan-exclusive sequel to a SNES game you’re running from one end to the next against a timer, avoiding obstacles, collecting coins, and more crucially, 4 of the playing card suits, which are always hidden in collectible balloons, necessitating the collection of as many of these as possible, since you don’t know what they contain until you open them. Finish a level without collecting all four suits, and you don’t get the key that allows you inside the rocket ship that takes you to the next stage. So you ride on the outside of the rocket, and fall on your butt to start the next stage, causing you to begin with just a fraction of your health. Very weird game.
