What’d you think?: The Neo ATLAS series seems to be a cartography/exploration game, set in the late 1400s. It was in Japanese so I never really got what was happening, but it sure seemed to ultimately be a sort of management game about setting up trade routes and logistics for your ever-growing fleet of ships and commanders, and using those profits to also finance exploration of the unknown map. I’m unsure of what the win condition(s?) were; there didn’t seem to be opponents doing the same thing that I was competing against. The game, perhaps understandably, did not address the long-term damages caused by your colonial actions, but gratefully I didn’t take many of those before giving up. There’s a “tutorial game” mode, but it didn’t make you do everything. So
