What’d you think?: Despite the title, this game had nothing to do with the pirate anime franchise. Instead, you’re an apartment manager, trying to manage different goals for different apartment buildings because an alien/rival landlord kidnapped your younger sister. It’s a bizarre premise for a pretty engaging puzzle game. Each tenant has a patience meter and will have beneficial and/or deletorious effects on the patience meters of the surrounding apartments. Occasionally tenants will move in who are agents of your rival’s organization and they must be driven out, as they are only harmful, don’t pay rent, and sometimes leave their apartment and wander the building bothering everyone. When this happens you’ve got to leave your office and switch to “security mode” to blow a whistle at the offender and return them home. The game gets hectic quickly, but some of the earlier missions can be completed without any real thought towards the games core mechanics. Pretty neat game.
