What’d you think?: Casino games have always seemed a bit odd to me. It always felt like a “waste of luck” to play slots or roulette without any real stakes on the line, because should you win big, (which is ostensibly the only goal you’d have) there’s no actual profit. There’s also no risk, of course, but since the results are entirely luck-based, you don’t even get a feeling of accomplishment. If this game were just two virutal pachinko tables (machines? boards?) it would be completely dismissable. But this pachinko game has a damn story mode! With goals, and inventories, and zoos to visit, and random encounters, and it’s in a language I don’t speak so I said fuck all that and went deep into roleplaying my degenerate gambling addict and had a pretty good time.
