What’d you think?: The Director’s Cut re-release of Resident Evil contains a mode that changes the location of items and enemies in the game for a fresh experience. Due to the random nature of PS1Try game selection, I played in French, and I think I accidentally chose the option for the original item placement, which turned out to not matter because the first zombie killed me anyway. The French release I played did feature an extended version of the FMV intro video with more gore than was in the original USA and PAL release (but still with scenes cut from the Japanese original).
