What’d you think?: Directly after playing a Digimon card battle game I get a Yu-Gi-Oh! monster collecting game. What is this, a crossover docket? I played this in Japanese so I missed out on a lot. The monster breeding seemed simple enough, none of the menus went very deep, though I suspect there’s optimized ways to raise stats, for use in the other half of this game, the battle mode. There was a campaign and I was trounced in the first fight. The fights resembled tactics games, with a squad of monsters protecting an egg from getting struck 5 times, but my stats were all fairly weaker than my opponents. With no fondness for or familiarity with the Yu-Gi-Oh! franchise, I really didn’t find anything enjoyable here.
